Hi folks,
Today we studied the brand new concepts of speed and velocity. We will be using these quite a bit as we move forward with the rest of the concepts from this motion unit.
In order to try out these new concepts, we went outside and measured everyone's running and throwing velocities.
Homework due the week after next is to read the "Velocity" chapter in the book and answer the questions at the end of the chapter.
Also, for extra credit, find the speed (no need for direction) of three different things. It could be how fast your turtle moves, or how fast your dog runs or how fast a ball rolls for example.
